Why does Nevis Animal Speak (NAS) need help?
Loss of access to critical medical equipment!
Until October of 2023, NAS and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM), St Kitts, collaborated on critical needs patients. Sadly, Ross has now discontinued this collaboration citing that they are "primarily a school" and "short-staffed." This was devastating news for those who required and were expecting this next level of medical support. Tragic loss of life has already resulted due to this change.
What is the goal for Nevis Animal Speak if given equipment donations?
Nevis Animal Speak now has access to a host of specialists (surgeons, criticalists, internists, cardiologists, ophthalmologists, and more) who donate their time to the clinic, but too often their ability to treat patients is limited by the lack of diagnostic medical equipment available in-house. With just a few pieces of equipment, we can manage more patient needs at our charitable rates.
How will in-house equipment positively impact your charitable mission?
All Nevis Animal Speak medical fees are at and below cost for all clients. Unfortunately, each sample or patient that needs to be managed off-site, will increase costs with everything from transport fees to the retail costs other organizations will charge.
